The body of this FL11NT quinto conga is made of two plies of high-quality rubberwood. This wood type ensures that the shells offer excellent resonance and a rich sound. By applying some innovative techniques, Meinl succeeded in giving the Floatune series a unique sound. Normally, mounting the hardware to the shell would involve drilling holes in it, but the Floatune keeps the shell intact, allowing it to keep even more vibrations contained and providing an even richer sound.

The drumhead of this elegant quinto drum is made of high-quality buffalo hide. Especially the mid-range tones stand out with this 11-inch conga. Additionally, the FL11NT features 10mm-thick tension rods and 4mm-thick rounded SSR rims. Furthermore, Meinl paid special attention to this instrument's look and added some beautiful chrome hardware to the shell, which in turn features a gorgeous glossy finish.
